COMMANDING OFFICER SE QUEENSLAND - CMDR FORBES PETERS, ADC RAN RETIRES FROM THE NAVY AND

HANDS OVER COMMAND TO CMDR GEOFF FIEDLER, RAN - 19 JANUARY 2009

Commander Forbes Peters, ADC, RAN looked every bit a submariner when he was ceremoniously hauled through the car park to inspect for

the last time his friends and the ship's company who have come to farewell him as he retired from the Navy and relinquished command to

Commander Geoff Fiedler.

All present appreciated this gentleman's delightful outlook on life.  Overseeing and inspecting his command for the last time before stepping

ashore from a mock-up of a submarine fin hauled by several capable midshipmen was a sight to behold.

A lovely BBQ lunch was provided by the troops at the Quarry Club, Bulimba with several speakers thanking Forbes for his service and

particularly the fine fist he made of his command at Bulimba.

Commander Geoff Fiedler was warmly welcomed by all in attendance who wished him well for the duration of his posting.
