HMAS PENGUIN TODAY - 14 OCTOBER 2006

The National Council and National Executive meet at HMAS PENGUIN on a regular basis and are thankful for the support given them by the RAN and in particular the Commanding Officer and officers and ship's company at HMAS PENGUIN.

Many of us served in HMAS PENGUIN at one time or another...several of you have taken residence in the area behind the main gate (don't worry, I won't tell any one who you are!) and many members have been hospitalised or held on the books of HMAS PENGUIN while they served overseas.

HMAS PENGUIN has changed dramatically over the last few years with the State Governernment again gaining title to much of the land on Middle Head.  The depot still has the best views in Sydney and the Chief's Mess has Billion dollar views across Sydney Harbour.

Here is a shot of the front gate and a description of what has happened to PENGUIN over the years.
