THIS IS WHERE THE NAVAL ASSOCIATION STARTED -
YOUNG AND JACKSON'S PUB IN MELBOURNE OPPOSITE FLINDERS STREET STATION.
I have just returned from a visit to Melbourne and thought a couple of photographs of Young and Jackson's pub as it is today would not go astray.
Of course, any photo of this pub would be incomplete without a shot of 'Chloe'. Famous as she is there is a sad tale behind her story.
The good news is this is the pub where the NAA started as the Ex-Navalmen's Association.
Melbourne has changed dramatically over recent years and this part of town has changed a lot.
Everybody who ever served in Flinders Naval Depot, or HMAS CERBERUS will probably remember Young and Jackson's..if you can't you didn't catch the leave train, because this was the first stop.
Anyway...hope you enjoy the shots.

Les.
