PINGAT JASA MALAYSIA MEDAL

Defence Honours and Awards confirmed that the Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal is to be awarded for Service in the Malayan Emergency and Indonesian Confrontation commencing from the day of Independence on 31 August 1957 and ending on 12 August 1966. 

 

The Department of Defence is determining eligibility criteria and will publicise the award of this medal together with application forms in due course. (See latest info at the bottom of this page)

 

The Webmaster received photographs and information from the Malaysian Defence Attache, Colonel Abdullah Yatim.   Photographs of the medal are shown under:

 

 

Congratulations to all shipmates who receive the medal and thank you to the Malaysian Government for recognising this service with a 'country' medal.
