BRIBIE ISLAND SUB SECTION AND BRIBIE ISLAND RSL SUB BRANCH COMBINE TO COMMEMORATE KOREAN FORCES DAY - 27 JULY 2006.

National President, Les Dwyer was invited to be the Guest Speaker at the 2006 Commemorative Service to mark the Ceasefire of the Korean War on 27 July 1953. Sub Section President Alex Clode together with his committee fired by Colleen Glass (Lew was in the background being pulled along) organised a wonderful day of remembrance and camaraderie.

The staff of the Bribie Island RSL Club provided a lovely luncheon and the day was enjoyed by many Korean veterans as the photographs show.

Thanks to Vic Reading ...you did a great job as MC.

Chaplain Colin Baxter RANR (Rtd) carried out the Chaplain's duties with aplomb.

The support from the local community was marvellous and everybody who attended thought that Robyn and the Naval Cadets did a magnificent job.

Congratulations to the Bribie Island RSL Korea Day Sub committee for your efforts ensuring that those who participated in 'the forgotten war', were not forgotten.
