The photo under is of Warrant Officer Julie Walker (Navy Recruiting) and Nullarbor sharing a beer (well, a beer cooler anyway). Nullarbor reports that he is off to Milwaukee, Wisconsin (via Los Angeles, Fort Worth TX and other ports of call) for the USS Frank E Evans reunion 2005. Will be spending 3 weeks in the States and attending a Naval Graduation ceremony at Great Lakes Naval Academy (not far from Chicago, Illinois). He reckons its a tough job, but someone has to do it.

A clean up, paint and general refurbishment of the Memorial Anchor was done by Sub Section members recently = the photo shows the results. Well Done Bundamba! The memorial looks great.
Coral Sea celebrations at Newstead House, Brisbane, on Saturday 8th May 2004.

The photograph below sent for publication by Ron Baker. It was taken at the annual USS Frank E Evans reunion in Lubbock, Texas in September this year. Shipmate Ron Baker was asked to present a commissioning pennant from the Evans to the association on behalf of the Australian donor (don't ask how he got hold of it!).
