JOIN THE NAVAL ASSOCIATION OF AUSTRALIA
MEMBERSHIP - who is eligible to join?
Full Membership is open to:

   All serving and former members of the Royal Australian Navy (incuding Reserve Forces). (The requirement to have served for a period of at least 6 months was removed for RAN Personnel by National Council in April, 2009). ( Yes, you can join the NAA as a FULL MEMBER when you commence as a New Entrant from Day 1 ! - )

All serving and former members of other Commonwealth Navies & Royal Marines / Members of Allied Navies. (The requirement to have served for a period of at least 6 months was removed by National Council in April 2009).

Any Service member of the Australian Defence Force who has served in a dedicated billet on a RAN ship for at least 6 months. (Approved by National Council 3 December 2005)

   Former or serving Australian Naval Reserve Cadet Officers and Instructors in receipt of a Certificate of Appointment who have served for a period of not less than two years.

   Persons who are former or serving personnel of the Australian Naval Cadet (ANC) movement and who have reached the age of 18 years and who have completed 3 years service in the ANC".

   Persons who are former or serving personnel of the merchant naval service of Australia or any member country of the British Commonwealth who in the performance of their merchant naval duties, have served in a war zone or other theatre of military operations.

Restricted Membership is reserved for persons who are not eligible for Full Membership of the Association but who wish to join / contribute to the Association. The following classes of membership are available:-

     Associate Member

     Social Member

     Club Member.

Joining Fee $5
Annual Subscription $25

Total $30

Membership Badge
The Naval Association Badge is issued on joining.

ALLOCATION TO STATE/TERRITORY SUB SECTION
Applicants for membership of the NAA will be allocated to a Sub Section of their choice. If no choice is made, allocation will be to the Sub Section nearest the geographic location of the applicant. Members may transfer from one Sub Section to another at their request. Serving members and those who are not yet settled in a particular locality may wish to join the eFleet Sub Section. See details at http://efleetaustralia.org

Between 1 July & 31 October - $12.50

Between 1 November & 31 December -required to pay joining fee and annual subscription totalling $30. These members will be deemed to be financial for the following year.

The Annual Subscription includes your subscription to Australian Warship / White Ensign Magazine. This magazine costs $11.95 from newsagents. It is posted FREE to members. JOIN NOW FOR IMMEDIATE SAVINGS

If you are applying for Social or Club membership and have not served in the RAN or ADF please ignore the Service Details section in the form below. We welcome applications for Associate, Club and Social membership - details of joining fees for Associate, Club and Social members will be advised separately.      Please note that when you submit this application, it will be forwarded to your State / Territory Section for action. The relevant Sub Section Secretary will request you to provide and will need to sight proof of your service - before your application can be finalised.

    If you are applying for Club, Social or Associate membership simply fill out the application form and send it. You will be further advised with regard to documentation / joining fees.

    Applications for ordinary membership will not be processed until the Joining Fee of $5 plus first year's subscription of $25, totalling $30 is received. In addition to completing the joining information above PAY YOUR MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FEE OF $30 through PayPal so that your subscription to Australian Warship / White Ensign magazine will commence.
